Vitamin D, often referred to as the "sunshine vitamin," is a crucial micronutrient that supports calcium absorption, strong bone development, and a healthy immune system. For individuals with limited sun exposure, such as during winter months, or those looking to minimize the risks of UVA and UVB exposure, our Sports Research Vitamin D3 formula provides the same biologically active form of vitamin D that the body produces from sunlight. Additionally, since D3 is most effective when taken with a fat, we have included coconut MCT oil in our softgels to ensure optimal absorption.

Suggested Use

Vitamin D intake, when combined with sufficient calcium, a healthy Nutrition Plan and regular exercise may reduce the risk of developing osteoporosis in people with vitamin D deficiency.

Directions 

Adults: Take 1 softgel daily. To be taken with an adequate intake of calcium. Consult a physician for use beyond 6 months.

Warnings

Do not use this product if you have hypercalcemia and/or hypercalciuria. Consult a physician prior to use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding; have kidney disorders; take any prescription Health Products including antacids, anticonvulsants, digoxin, cholestyramine, colestipol, mineral oil, steroids, statins or thiazide diuretics; take other vitamin D supplements, multivitamin supplements containing vitamin D, or products containing vitamin D analogues. Stop use and consult a physician if the following early symptoms of hypercalcemia occur weakness, fatigue, drowsiness, headache, lack of appetite, dry mouth, metallic taste, nausea, vomiting, vertigo, ringing in the ears, lack of coordination and muscle weakness or if you develop any other symptom. 15-20 mcg (600-800 IU) of vitamin D per day is an adequate quantity for most individuals. Consult a physician to determine if you would benefit from additional vitamin D before taking this product.
