Strontium (citrate)

Strontium is a trace mineral essential for bone health, functioning as a divalent cation that uses similar transport molecules and receptors as calcium. Recent studies have underscored strontium's potential to enhance bone strength and health. It contributes to bone mineral density by encouraging healthy osteoblast differentiation and maintaining balanced osteoclast activity. In a multi-national, two-year placebo-controlled trial involving 353 women, strontium supplementation helped preserve healthy vertebrae integrity and bone mineralization. Additionally, a three-year, placebo-controlled, double-blind study with 1,649 postmenopausal women showed that a strontium salt supported vertebrae composition and was well-tolerated. In a preliminary analysis of a three-year, placebo-controlled, double-blind study of 5,091 postmenopausal women, strontium supplementation was found to promote healthy hip bones.

Helps to support bone mineral density.

Recommended Dose

Adults (50 years and older): Take 1–3 capsules daily in divided doses with or between meals, or as directed by your healthcare practitioner. Take away from supplemental calcium or calciumcontaining foods. Ensure adequate intake of calcium and vitamin D. Vitamin D and Calcium supplements should also be taken if dietary intake is inadequate or is recommended by a healthcare practitioner. Consult a healthcare practitioner for use beyond 6 months.
