Niacitol

Niacitol features inositol nicotinate, a no-flush form of niacin (vitamin B3) that has been used in Europe for over 30 years to support healthy nutrient metabolism. Niacitol is a well-tolerated form of vitamin B3 and is unlikely to cause the flushing (redness, warmth, and itching of the skin) or other side effects commonly associated with niacin. Inositol nicotinate consists of one molecule of inositol and six molecules of niacin. Niacin plays a crucial role in nearly all aspects of energy metabolism. Its coenzymes, NAD and NADP, are the most important electron transport carriers in cells, assisting in metabolic processes related to the breakdown and utilization of macronutrients. More than 200 metabolic reactions require niacin, including those involved in glycolysis, the Krebs cycle, and β-oxidation of fatty acids.
