Neem is a member of the mahogany family, Meliaceae. The scientific name of neem is Azadirachta indica.  

This Latinized name comes from the Persian words: ‘Azad’ meaning ‘free’, ‘dirakht’ meaning ‘tree’, and ‘i-Hind’ meaning ‘of Indian origin’.

So, this word means the ‘free tree of India’.

In English, Neem is also known as "Margosa."

Neem leaves are traditionally used in Ayurveda to Assist relieve itching associated with minor skin conditions such as eczema. Neem Assists relieve itching associated with minor wounds and burns as per Ayurvedic medicines.  Neem is also used to Assist expel intestinal worms (Krmiroga) in herbal medicines.

Azadirachta indica powder.

How to use

1 gm 1-3 times daily. 1 serving = 1 gm = 1/4 teaspoon. Dissolve 1/4 tsp of Neem powder into 1 cup of warm water and drink immediately.

Cautions and Warnings

Consult a health practitioner prior to use if you are taking any medication or if you have a medical condition. Do not use, if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or trying to conceive. Do not use with herbs or Health Products that have hypoglycemic potential, including insulin, oral diabetic Health Products and herbs such as Ginseng. Do not use it with diabetes, immunosuppressants, autoimmune diseases or organ transplants. May have spermicidal effects.
