Vision Therapy Eyewear

This eyewear was developed by ophthalmologist Dr. William Bates, who observed that his patients' vision worsened over time with regular glasses. He discovered that glasses hindered the natural healing process of the eyes. Dr. Bates designed spectacles with tiny holes to retrain the eyes to see clearly and naturally.

Dr. Bates' theory suggests that the limited light rays passing through the tiny holes directly into the eye create a clearer image. These glasses are adjusted for seeing at distances of 6 meters (20 feet). However, they are not suitable for reading objects up close, as the image becomes 20 times too strong at a distance of one foot.

Directions

Wear this eyewear when you are reading or watching TV. Take a vision break for 1-2 minutes after every 20 minutes of reading, computer work or other activities.

Warnings

Do not wear outdoors or when playing a sport, as peripheral vision may be hindered. Never look directly into the sun with these spectacles.
