The adrenal glands rest just above the kidneys. These glands secrete cortisol, and stimulate our bodies to produce progesterone and testosterone, among other hormones. Adrenal fatigue occurs when the adrenal glands function below normal levels. Stress can cause adrenal fatigue. There are a variety of supplements, including vitamins, minerals and hormones recommended to ease adrenal fatigue. The gotu kola significantly decreased anxiety within 30-60 minutes when compared to placebo.

In conclusion, if stimulated even slightly, many of the healthy hormones found in our glandular tissues can begin their genetic tasks as they did before. For example, a small polypeptide material present in one tissue can have selective effects in encouraging another tissue at a different site in the body to produce Hormone Balance materials, which then may affect a final target tissue and change its physiological function.
