Buckwheat Honey

Buckwheat honey has a taste that is unique. The bees collect this honey from buckwheat blossoms, which are as white are snow, but it produces dark, rich honey with a strong flavour. People seem to either love it or hate it - there's little middle ground. If you lived through the 1930's or 40's, its taste will be familiar, as there was an abundance of buckwheat grown then. It's not very common now and makes a great gift for an older member of the family.
