EASY TO APPLY

Herbatint colouring gel is easy to mix and apply thanks to its gel consistency and its odourless formula. A perfect colour result in only 40 minutes!

COLOUR RESULT 

Herbatint’s gentle formula with a low hydrogen peroxide concentration (10 volumes) allows you to lighten your natural colour up by a maximum of 2 tones. Only colouring with higher hydrogen peroxide concentrations (30-40 volumes) have a higher bleaching power which inevitably affects the hair’s structure and health.

RESPECTING NATURE

The Herbatint packaging is made of totally recyclable uncoated paper with designation of origin. Herbatint is against animal testing and is suitable for vegans. The bottles can be reclosed and used again, allowing you to use the only necessary product and keep the rest for later applications to avoid useless waste.

NATURAL

The  N (Natural) series shades colour your hair while keeping its natural colour balance, choose them if you wish to maintain and revive your natural colour.

ASH

The C (Ash) tones are designed to neutralize and/or counteract unwanted copper or reddish highlights. For an ideal result they should be used combined with the corresponding tone of the Natural series.

COPPER

The R (Copper) tones are particularly suitable for golden-like complexions. They guarantee a coppery colour, rich in shades, they lighten up your hair with warm reflections.

GOLDEN

The D (Golden) tones will give golden blond or brown highlights depending on the degree of tone choice. Choose it for an intense, bright and natural result.

MAHOGANY

Ideal to add brown and natural red highlights to dull hair, the M (Mahogany) shades are formulated for a colouring experience that gives more personality to your look. Suitable for light pinkish complexions, they intensify the colour basis.

Suggested Use:

Before you start make sure you have your coloring tools! For first time users, please note that the Herbatint Application Kit, containing a brush, measuring cup and Protection-Plan-Plan cape is sold separately. This reduces waste as all items included are made to be re-used.

Need to know: If you have more than 30% of grey and you wish to apply one of the C, D, R or M shades, it is suggested to mix your chosen color with a N shade of the same number. Full details in the instruction leaflet.

HOW TO APPLY HERBATINT

 

Mix an equal amount of colour and developer in a plastic or glass bowl (not metal), the quantity depends on hair length and volume.

Mix with a brush until you obtain a gel consistency and apply the product to dry and unwashed hair, starting from the roots.

Leave for 40 minutes, it is important to stick to the processing time.

Rinse thoroughly until the water is completely clear. Tilt your head back while you rinse so that the product does not get into your eyes. Then apply the Herbatint Normalising Shampoo.

After shampooing you can complete the Health-Wellness-Car-e by using the Royal Cream, Herbatint regenerating conditioner, which you should leave in for 5 minutes and rinse again.

REMEMBER

If you Wellness-Carefully close the bottles containing the unused product, taking Wellness-Care not to swap the caps, the product that has not been used and has not been mixed can be stored for further applications. More information in the leaflet enclosed in the box.

 

TIPS

FOR EXCELLENT COVERAGE OF GREY HAIR

Colours of the Natural (N) series from 1N to 8N cover 100% of grey hair starting from the first application. Tones 9N and 10N have an extremely low concentration of colouring pigments and thus they must be mixed with a small amount of 8N to obtain the best coverage.

If you wish to use one of the tones of the Ash (C), Golden (D), Copper (R), Golden-Copperish (DR), Mahogany (M) or Flash Fashion (FF) series and you have a high percentage of grey hair, for best results you should mix the colour you have chosen (for example, 4R) with an equivalent shade of the Natural (in this case the 4N) series. As a rule, the higher the percentage of grey hair, the greater the amount of N in the equivalent shade to be used (see the table).

Example: if you have a high percentage of grey hair (more than 60%) and you have chosen to use 4R, we recommend mixing 40 (ml) of 4N with 20 (ml) of 4R and complete by adding 60 (ml) of developer for a right mixing balance between colour and developer 1: 1.

REMEMBER

For professional results we suggest you to separate your hair into four equal sections, dividing them in half again by using a comb:

• The first one, vertically from the center of the frontal hairline to the center of the back hairline.

• The second one, horizontally from behind one ear to behind the other.

In case of very thick hair you should apply the product on thin hair strands to ensure that the dye reaches all the hair evenly. Always start from the front.
Start applying on the two frontal areas where usually the greatest amount of grey hair is concentrated. In case of very thick hair, apply the product on thin hair sections so that the dye reaches all the hair evenly.

To perfectly cover grey hair ‘deposit’ the colour instead of ‘brushing’ it on areas with a greater concentration of grey hair. The greater the area to be coloured, the greater amount of product to be used.

HOW TO MIX FF  TONES WHEN THERE IS GREY HAIR

When there is a high percentage of grey hair, for best results we recommend using the FF (Flash Fashion) nuance combined with a tone of the series N (Natural), otherwise the colour might come out brighter than expected.

• If you choose the FF3 shade, combine it with 5N.

• If you choose any other nuance of the FF series, combine it with 7N.

Warnings

Caution: Hair colorants can cause severe allergic reactions.

This product contains ingredients which may cause skin irritation on certain individuals. An allergy test should be performed 48 hours before use according to leaflet instructions. This product must not be used for dyeing the eyelashes or eyebrows; to do so may cause blindness. This product is not intended for use on persons under the age of 16. Temporary 'black henna' tattoos may increase your risk of allergy.

Do not color your hair if:

• you have a rash on your face or sensitive, irritated and damaged scalp,

• you have ever experienced any reaction after colouring your hair,

• you have experienced a reaction to a temporary 'black henna' tattoo in the past.

Wear suitable gloves. Avoid contact with eyes, rinse immediately if product comes into contact with them.
