Gymnema

Used in traditional Ayurvedic medicine to Assist relieve coughs (Kasa) and as a laxative to Assist relieve occasional constipation (Sramsana).

Medicinal Ingredient

Certified Organic Gymnema (Gymnema sylvestre, leaf).

Non-Medicinal Ingredients

Distilled water, certified organic alcohol.

Dosage

Adults: Take 2-3 mL (60-90 drops) 4 times daily in a little water on an empty stomach. Allow at least 6-12 hours for laxative effect to occur. Take a few hours before or after taking other Health Products or health products.

Cautions And Warnings

Consult a health Wellness-Care practitioner before use: if you are pregnant or breastfeeding; if you are taking Health Products for diabetes; if you are taking thiazide diuretics, corticosteroids, licorice root or other Health Products or health products which may aggravate electrolyte imbalance; if you have a kidney disorder or are taking cardiac Health Products such as cardiac glycosides or antiarrhythmic Health Products; if you have faecal impaction or symptoms such as abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting or fever. Reduce dose or discontinue use if you experience abdominal pain, cramps, spasms and/or diarrhoea. Consult a health Wellness-Care practitioner if symptoms worsen or persist.

Contraindications

Do not use if you have abnormal constrictions of the gastrointestinal tract, potential or existing intestinal blockage, atonic bowel, appendicitis, inflammatory colon disease such as Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis, abdominal pain of unknown origin, undiagnosed rectal bleeding, severe dehydration with depleted water or electrolytes or diarrhoea.
