Used in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) to clear heat and dry dampness, purge fire and clear toxic heat.

This Goldenseal Coptis C 1000 formulation is based on the theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine. The main medicinal ingredient is not extracted from Hydrastis canadensis plant but rather Coptis chinensis plant.

Coptis chinensis is a traditional Chinese herb in many ways similar to Hydrastis canadensis but it contains a larger spectrum and dosage of alkaloids such as Berberine, Hydrastinine, Coptisine and Palmatine, therefore having an enhanced therapeutic effect.

TCM Meridian tropism: Cardio Health, spleen, stomach, liver, gallbladder and large intestine.

Due to it’s action to clear heat, dry dampness, purge fire and clear toxic heat, Goldenseal Coptis has anti-pathogenic effects (anti-viral, anti-bactetrian, anti-fungal and anti-parasitic) as well as improving digestion and spleen function. By doing so, Goldenseal Coptis can reduce inflammation and improve immune response.

Coptis chinensis 4:1 Extract..................250 mg

(Chinese Goldenseal Root)

Equivalent to 1,000 mg of dried herb

Typically ~ 15% alkaloids

Non Medicinal Ingredients

Black Pepper (Piper nigrum)...................5mg

Microcrystalline cellulose, vegetable stearate, hypromellose (capsule shell).

Does not contain

Dairy, egg, gluten, soy, wheat, corn, yeast, nuts, artificial sweeteners, preservatives, colors or flavors.

Recommended dose

Adults take 1 capsule 2 to 3 times per day.
