Fuyu

The Fuyu persimmon is free of a core, seeds, and tannins, which cause the astringency in other persimmons. It has a squat, rounded, tomato-like shape with an indented leaf at the stem. Its skin and flesh display pumpkin-colored hues, offering a complex flavor profile that includes notes of brown sugar, dates, and pear, with a hint of cinnamon.
