Anjou pears are almost egg-shaped, with short, tapering necks and no distinct shoulders. Their yellow-green skin remains unchanged, even when ripe. Beneath the surface, you'll find a rich, juicy fruit with sweet flesh and a buttery, slightly gritty texture.
