L-lysine is an essential amino acid crucial for various biological functions, including immunity, energy production, and muscle development. It does this by interfering with the absorption of the amino acid arginine, which the herpes virus needs to replicate. Without arginine, the virus cannot function fully, allowing the body to heal more quickly and reducing the chance of recurrence.
