Oolong tea, literally translated as "Black Dragon," is a partially oxidized green tea (Camellia sinensis) that combines qualities of both green and black tea. Uncle Lee's Oolong Tea in bulk loose leaves is of high quality, harvested from the Fujian Province in China. Since this Oolong is not baked as long as Dark Oolong, the steeped tea has a light golden hue, a sweet floral aroma, a fresh initial flavor, and a lingering sweet floral aftertaste. The rich flavor and fragrant aroma of our oolong tea are achieved through an oxidizing process called "withering." This involves tumbling or bruising the surface of the leaves, allowing enzymes to darken the tea leaves when exposed to air. Oolong tea is a world-famous natural health drink loaded with antioxidants, offering numerous health benefits. It is a natural fat emulsifier and contains approximately 25 to 45 mg of caffeine per cup, depending on the strength of the brew. Taste the difference with Uncle Lee's!

Brewing Instruction

Hot Serving: Put approximately one teaspoon of tea leaves (per cup of tea) in a pot. Pour 8 oz. boiling water over tea leaves, wait 3 to 5 minutes, strain and serve. Or, put leaves in metal tea ball and steep for the same amount of time.
