Acetyl-L-Carnitine (ALC) is an amino acid derivative that promotes cellular energy production by aiding in the transport of fat into the mitochondria, where it is converted into ATP, the body's cellular fuel source. Veg Capsule (hypromellose, water), Stearic Acid (vegetable source) and Magnesium Stearate (vegetable source).

Directions (Adults)

Take one capsule 3 times daily with meals.

Risk Information

Do not use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you have a primary systemic L-carnitine deficiency or secondary L-carnitine deficiency (inborn errors in metabolism) for which levocarnitine supplementation is prescribed and/or monitored by a health-care practitioner. Consult a health Wellness-Care practitioner prior to use if you have liver or kidney disease, if you have had a seizure, if you have hypothyroidism, or if you take blood thinners. Agitation, nausea, headache and vomiting have been known to occur, in which case discontinue use. Mild gastrointestinal symptoms (abdominal cramps and diarrhea) have been reported. Feelings of sleeplessness or overstimulation may occur, discontinue use if feelings persist or worsen. Low incidences of seizures have been reported with oral doses in individuals with or without pre-existing seizure disorders.
